Job Description
As a Lead Software Engineer - Data Engineer in CRE Tech team (CB Digital) of Commercial Bank at JPMorgan Chase, you will work as an integral part of an Agile Team, working closely with the other Data Architects and Solution Architects. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
Build and document the data models using available modeling tools, with traceability from logical and physical schema.
Experience in building transactional and analytical workloads on cloud systems preferably on AWS services like Redshift, RDS, DynamoDB or similar services
Extensible and standardized data architecture to facilitate internal and external data transformation and storage to be consumed by services including middleware, ML and dashboards. and Strong experience in Python, SQL and implementation experience in cloud ETL transformations using AWS Glue, Spark
Design and implement data integration strategies to ensure data consistency and accuracy across multiple systems (like ERP, Payments, CRM) and Experience in building the relational and NoSQL data structures suitable for analytics and dashboards
Provide guidance and thought leadership to stakeholders on data architecture best practices and Leads data architecture communities of practice to drive awareness and use of modern data architecture technologies and Communicate the approach and issues to management swiftly with clear intent of understanding.
Proficiency in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle and Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods in agile fashion
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training, or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
Minimum 5+ Experience in a big data environment, working with structured, semi-structured and unstructured data
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Strong development discipline and adherence to best practices and standards. Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects coupled with the flexibility to quickly adapt to ever evolving business needs.
Demonstrated independent problem solving skills and ability to develop solutions to complex analytical/data-driven problems. Must be able to communicate complex issues in a crisp and concise fashion to multiple levels of management
Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with colleagues at various levels of the organization and across multiple locations
Have experience with Agile and lean philosophies
