Qualys is looking for a talented and motivated hands-on technical leaders who are interested in delivering enterprise-class cloud-native security products using cutting-edge technologies.
Responsibilities
• Understand Application requirements & design the database to fulfill needs from Qualys cloud native platform & Application microservices
• Develop & test database Schemas, SQLs, Stored procedures to support product feature functionality requirements
• Test & tune database & code for high performance & scalability to be able to handle millions of transactions
• Understands the database bottlenecks and make required changes to address the same
• Develop using best practices & following standard processes.
• Provide support and resolution for any customer issues that get escalated to the Engineering team time-to-time.
• Work with Application microservices development teams on continual database design improvements & corresponding large production data migrations.
• As the candidate grows, there are opportunities to participate in overall data scenario which includes technologies of Elastic/Cloud storage etc.
Qualifications
• Strong experience in RDBMS systems, Oracle specifically
• Experienced in PL/SQL & SQL programming
• Strong skills in RDBMS designs, normalization techniques, and query optimizations
• Good experience in RDBMS data migrations & making them happen on large enterprise scale systems
Advantages to have:
• Knowledge & exposure to other data sources e.g. Elastic, Cloud storage etc
• Exposure to NoSQL
• Knowledge of data integration & ETL
