The projected annual compensation range for this position is $120,000 - $160,000 (USD)

Senior Software Developer

SimVentions is a 100% employee-owned business and has consistently been voted one of Virginia's Best Places to Work. We are looking for Senior Software Engineers to work on a new and emerging Navy tactical system that integrates with the full suite of combat sensors. The engineers will be part of a team that supports the US Navy focusing on developing and modernizing electronic warfare (EW) system.

Responsibilities
• Provide software engineering support for a high-visibility Naval information system that integrates with EW sensors.
• Interface with customers, suppliers, application users and other technical and support personnel to determine appropriate software standards, processes, procedures and tools to best achieve project success.

Requirements
• United States Citizenship
• Fifteen (15) years of experience in software design, development and engineering applied to program and system level development.
• Five (5) years of demonstrated experience in developing real-time system and subsystem level software products, databases, knowledge or experience with operating systems (LINUX and MS Windows) and interfaces.

Preferred Skills & Experience:  
• Five (5) years of experience or equivalent with Navy or other Armed Services programs and/or systems.
• Agile methodology & knowledge of GIT, Jira, and BitBucket.
• Object Oriented software design concepts.
• DDS Pub/Sub communication.
• Navy Product Line Architecture.
• Combat system integration and system architecture.
• Cloud Computing environments.

Education:  A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline is required
