Job responsibilities :
Participate in design and develop scalable and resilient systems in a timely manner using Java to contribute to continual, iterative improvements for product teams
Design, write, comment and unit test code to confirm software modules are of the highest quality. Build Microservices that will run on the public cloud platform
Participate in scrum team stand-ups, code reviews and other ceremonies, contribute to task completion and blocker resolution within your team
Handle critical and time sensitive concurrent tasks and properly escalate situations as appropriate
Team management - Collaborate with teams in multiple regions and time zones
Maintain technical acumen by pursuing formal and informal learning opportunities about technology, JPMorgan Chase products, and financial services
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities, to improve delivery flow across product and technology
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
5+ years of Java/J2EE development experience on leading large/medium sized projects & must to have exposure to working in a fast-paced environment using Agile methodologies. In addition, demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience.
4+ years experience in leading a team of expert developers
Strong hands on in Core Java, OOPS, Exception handling, Multi-Threading, Generics and design patterns.
Exposure to UI technologies/frameworks like JavaScript, React JS and knowledge of CSS, HTML
Working experience in Spring Boot, Spring Integration and REST Web services, Build tools like Maven, Gradle, Continuous Integration/Delivery tools like GIT, Docker, Jenkin.
Exposure to any test automation technologies such as Mockito, Junit, any other testing frameworks.
Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals. Strong Communication Skills demonstrating the ability to present and explain ideas and concepts.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills :
Hands-on knowledge of AWS-cloud technologies would be an advantage.
Experience of working on high data volume processing applications (batch and/or real-time)
Experience with Integration patterns and messaging technologies (JMS, Mule, Kafka, RabbitMQ) and Container/Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry)
