As an experienced member of our Software Engineering Group in Investor Middle Office Services (IMOS) technology, you will have the opportunity to solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Job Responsibilities
• Participate in design and develop scalable and resilient systems in a timely manner using Java to contribute to continual iterative improvements for product teams
• Design, write, comment and unit test code to confirm software modules are of the highest quality. Build Microservices that will run on the public cloud platform
• Participate in scrum team stand-ups, code reviews and other ceremonies, contribute to task completion and blocker resolution within your team
• Handle critical and time sensitive concurrent tasks and properly escalate situations as appropriate
• Team management - Collaborate with teams in multiple regions and time zones
• Maintain technical acumen by pursuing formal and informal learning opportunities about technology, JPMorgan Chase products, and financial services
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities, to improve delivery flow across product and technology
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
• 5+ years of Java/J2EE development experience on leading large/medium sized projects & must to have exposure to working in a fast-paced environment using Agile methodologies. In addition, demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience.
• 4+ years experience in leading a team of expert developers
• Strong hands on in Core Java, OOPS, Exception handling, Multi-Threading, Generics and design patterns.
• Exposure to UI technologies/frameworks like JavaScript, React JS and knowledge of CSS, HTML
• Working experience in Spring Boot, Spring Integration and REST Web services, Build tools like Maven, Gradle, Continuous Integration/Delivery tools like GIT, Docker, Jenkin.
• Exposure to any test automation technologies such as Mockito, Junit, any other testing frameworks.
• Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals. Strong Communication Skills demonstrating the ability to present and explain ideas and concepts.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
• Hands-on knowledge of AWS-cloud technologies would be an advantage.
• Experience of working on high data volume processing applications (batch and/or real-time)
• Experience with Integration patterns and messaging technologies (JMS, Mule, Kafka, RabbitMQ) and Container/Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry)
• Knowledge of Middle Office Services
