The Wealth Management Technology team is responsible for development and support of all technology solutions for Fiduciary Trust (Franklin Templeton’s High Net Worth Wealth Management business)#MID_SENIOR_LEVEL
What is the Lead Software Engineer responsible for?
As a Lead Software Engineer, you are responsible for design and delivery of enterprise platforms supporting Client and Employees of Fiduciary Trust International. The key items include but are not limited to; technical leadership for delivery of platform capabilities, innovate through adoption of newer libraries and products, design solutions that further the organizations digital transformation strategy and build strong teams / pods to deliver a common goal. Driving level 3 – engineering support of the applications will also be an important responsibility.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of Lead Software Engineer?
Leads Digital Client Platforms and Employee application team(s) to deliver on the strategic roadmap for FTCI’s Web and Mobile applications
Works with Technical and Business Stakeholders for delivery of projects necessary to achieve the Fiduciary Trust’s digital strategy (includes design, development, implementation, and maintenance of in-house developed solutions, as well as implementation and management of vendor products and services) and that adhere to regulatory, compliance, and info security needs
Works with Project Managers / Scrum Masters to plan delivery sprints and ensures timely delivery of work packets with good quality.
Provides hands-on technical leadership for a team of software developers, analysts, and additional technology consultants.
Identifies and resolves complex technical and process problems.
Updates leadership on deliveries, including production metrics, progress, and new features.
What ideal qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?
12 to 15 years of technology experience with minimum 8 years in the financial services industry.
Ability to lead small units of engineers and perform in the role of an Engineering Lead
Strong Knowledge on design patterns
Experience in JAVA 8.0, J2EE, Spring and Spring Boot
Experience with Micro service architecture using REST services.
Experience in designing and developing API / Enterprise Web Services in an environment which leverages SaaS products, API gateways and complex message queues.
Experience with working in a centralized shared services model, supporting domain-based web services.
Good understanding of Capital Markets
Exposure to tools like Swagger
Hands on with Cloud services – preferably Azure
Knowledge on App services, Load Balancer, Application Gateway
Azure Active Directory, Notification Hub
Working Knowledge on Dockers/Kubernetes
Experience in NoSQL/in-memory databases like Redis
Hands on with the Open authorization protocols and frameworks ex: OAuth2
Experience in Unit testing frameworks
Strong Knowledge on Maven, Gradle, CI/CD using Jenkins/Bamboo
Experience in Agile/Scrum based project execution.
Work Shift Timing - 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM IST
