Job Summary:
As a Lead Software Engineer in the Digital Investment Banking team at JPMorgan Chase, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job responsibilities:
Formal training, or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years’ experience working with React & TypeScript
Constant learning and growth mindset and strong, demonstrated leadership ability
Evangelist of code quality and consistent experience with unit, functional, and integration code testing
Experience managing code versioning & PR/review practices for large teams
Passionate about building an innovative culture and modern technology organization
Understanding of Agile SDLC methodology, including business analysis, development, maintenance, and improvement
Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individual and strong partnership capabilities in a cross-disciplinary organization
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Experience with Agile SDLC methodology
Experience with monorepo design and efficient implementations
Experience with building cloud-native applications, ideally familiar with AWS, Azure, Pivotal, or other cloud platforms
Familiar with designing and consuming APIs/microservices frameworks
Familiar with CI/CD pipelines (ex: Jenkins) with end-to-end automation
Advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
Understanding of web development best practices including security, RESTful practices
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Engineering in fintech working in Investment Banking or Capital Markets
Exposure to cloud technologies
