Job Description
PURPOSE: Looking for a candidate with extensive experience on Windchill PDMLink customization, configuration and development, Core Java/J2EE based technologies and Agile methodologies. The position is based at Whirlpool’s offshore technology center at GTEC, Pune, India.
Educational Qualification- B.E Computer Science, Information Systems (or equivalent)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for developing software solutions by studying business requirements / problem; discuss with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle.
- Responsible to develop software architecture and interface model for the business requirements in alignment and approval of Solution Architects & BRM's
- Responsible for working with a team in planning, prioritizing, providing technical guidance and executing assigned tasks within deadlines.
- Responsible for analyzing current systems and processes, making recommendations to improve operations by recommending changes in policies and procedures.
- Provide Technical Oversight and direction to the PLM Scrum team(s)
- Coordinate and effectively communicate the status with different stakeholders in the form of value stream analysis,Proof of concept and business case
Innovation :
- Responsible to drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives within the team
TECHNICAL
++ years of PLM experience (min. 3+ years of people management experience)
● Extensive development experience in Windchill customization related to Workflows, Listeners , DataUtility , Validators , Lifecycle, OIR, Events/Listeners, Form Processors and configurations on Windchill 11.0 or later,upgrades, updates, patch installations, multiple environments (Windows, Linux based) etc.
● Exposure to Parts link concepts like classification mgmt. , attributes, IBAs, enumerations.
● Hands on experience for Info Engine, webservices, writing webjects.
● Integration with downstream ERP systems like SAP PO / PI, SAP APD
● Core Java / J2EE / OOPS concepts based programming experience on different web
applications, both server and client side.
● Hands on experience on IDEs (Eclipse / Netbeans or equivalent)
● Functional knowledge of PDMLink (BOM management, Change Management, Part
Management, Part life cycle, ESI configurations,PDF Publishing, CAD mgmt., worker agents,
visualization services, ERP integration with SAP.
