Work you'll do
• Support the client in assessing the overall architectural strategy for a large legacy application conversion Java project.
• Offer guidance on the best path forward for the project, ensuring alignment with the Statement of Work (SOW) and technical constraints.
• Work with the larger vendor team to evaluate technical risks and conduct alternatives analysis over Deloitte's technical work streams.
• Present project progress and the rationale behind decisions to the greater vendor team.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all technical decisions related to the project.
• Use a combination of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) tools and custom-developed solutions.
• Operate effectively within project constraints and drive forward progress by influencing the solution and applying appropriate techniques.
• Lead and provide guidance to the project consisting of Architects, Developers, Testers, Legacy coding teams, and requirement teams.

Qualifications
Required:
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role.
• Ability to travel 10-25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clientsandindustries/sectorsyou serve.
• 10 + years of Java programming experience.
• 5 + years of experience in solution architecture.
• 5 + years of experience in Java development using Eclipse/JBoss/Junit 5.
• 2 + Years of experience modeling in Vizio.
Preferred:
• Experience in technical sales and solutioning to assist in generating new work opportunities for the project.
• Prior experience with Assembly language or the ability to learn the foundations of legacy technologies (e.g., Mainframe, ALC).
• Experience working with Agile development methodology, including test-driven approaches, MVP development, and delivery of incremental value.
• Ability to think strategically and connect the dots across various project workstreams.
• Professional certifications preferred (e.g., Java, PMP, Scrum Master, TOGAF, Etc.).
