Job Overview :
As the Supply Chain Lead at Skyroot Aerospace, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the entire supply chain process for aerospace production, including procurement, logistics, inventory, and supplier relationships.
You will ensure timely delivery of components, materials, and services necessary for manufacturing operations while maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations.
This role requires a strategic thinker with experience in aerospace supply chain management and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities :
• Oversee the entire supply chain process, from sourcing to delivery, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations.
• Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure that suppliers meet the company's quality, delivery, and cost expectations.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business objectives, ensuring compliance with industry-specific regulations and standards.
• Manage inventory levels, optimize stock, and prevent disruptions in the production line, ensuring materials are available on time.
• Oversee the logistics and transportation of materials, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to aerospace safety and compliance standards.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to the supply chain, including supplier performance issues, geopolitical factors, and regulatory changes.
• Work closely with engineering, production, quality, and finance teams to ensure seamless operations and alignment with company goals.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reduction, and efficiency enhancements in the supply chain.
• Use data to monitor performance metrics, generate reports, and drive data-driven decision-making within the supply chain team.
• Ensure all supply chain operations comply with relevant aerospace industry standards (e.g., AS+100, ISO +001) and government regulations.
Qualifications :
• Bachelors in mechanical / aerospace / aeronautical or related domain.
• Bachelor’s / master’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics or a related field.
• APICS (Association for Supply Chain Management) certification or other relevant certifications are a plus.
Experience :
• 10+ years of supply chain experience, with at least 3 years in the aerospace or defense industry in a lead role.
• Experience leading and managing a supply chain team.
Technical Skills :
• Familiarity with aerospace-specific ERP systems.
• Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and best practices.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Knowledge of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and industry-specific requirements.
• Experience working in a highly regulated industry with knowledge of safety and compliance standards.
Soft Skills :
• Excellent negotiation, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach.
• Ability to manage complex projects and make informed decisions under pressure.
