Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for students, while also providing guidance and support to fellow educators. The Lead Teacher will play a crucial role in developing lesson plans, implementing educational programs, and ensuring that all students receive the attention they need to thrive academically and socially.

Duties

Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.

Manage classroom activities effectively, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.

Collaborate with special education staff to support students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Provide physical education activities that promote health and wellness among students.

Foster behavior management strategies that encourage positive behavior and conflict resolution.

Professional and development training opportunities(paid travel professional development courses)

Oversee toddler care routines, ensuring safety and developmental milestones are met.

Conduct assessments and standardized testing to evaluate student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.

Support students with speech therapy needs, collaborating with specialists as required.

Stay informed about childhood development trends to enhance teaching practices.

Maintain open communication with parents, guardians, and school administration regarding student progress and classroom activities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Valid teaching certification or license in the relevant subject area.

CPR and first aid certification ( or willingness to obtain ).

Experience in special education or deaf education is a plus.

Strong knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.

Familiarity with IEP development and implementation processes.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

Passion for childhood development and commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.

Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented atmosphere while also demonstrating leadership qualities.

Must be able to lift 30 lbs., Stand for extended periods, and actively engage with children at their level.
