Job Description
My client is looking for a Lead Video Editor to join a fast-growing wellness startup and drive the performance creative engine behind their brand. This is an in-person role where you’ll edit high-volume paid social ads, manage overseas editors, and ensure every deliverable is on-brand, compliant, and built for performance.
What You’ll Do
Be the go-to editor for paid social ads, influencer campaigns, and special projects
Edit UGC-style DTC videos optimized for performance (hooks, overlays, compilations, AI voiceovers, etc.)
Re-iterate past videos to align with compliance standards
Maintain impeccable accuracy in text, spelling, and formatting
Manage overseas editors: review edits, give notes, uphold quality/performance standards
Own vendor invoices: reconcile hours, deliverables, and accuracy
Ensure exports meet platform specs (Meta, TikTok, YouTube, etc.)
Proactively catch technical issues before final approval
What We’re Looking For
5+ years professional video editing (brand or agency), with DTC/performance work in your portfolio
Expert in Adobe Premiere Pro
Agency background with proven ability to deliver on short timelines
Experience leading a team of editors (direct or vendor/overseas)
Strong skills in audio sweetening, color correction, codecs, compression, and platform deliverables
Deep understanding of short-form trends, viral formats, and platform best practices
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Bonus Points For
Familiarity with AI voices (e.g., ElevenLabs)
Experience editing in regulated industries (supplements, wellness, etc.)
Knowledge of Frame.io, Air, or asset management tools
