What you will do
As a Leading Field Officer, you will guide and support people completing community work programs that make a real difference to the community. You will coach and mentor your colleagues to build their confidence and skills.
You will:
Supervise and support people completing community work, ensuring safe, productive and meaningful activities.
Coach and mentor field officers, providing on-the-job training and support.
Carry out site inspections, risk assessments and safety checks to maintain a safe environment.
Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners and work sites.
Keep accurate records, prepare reports and contribute to ongoing service improvement.
The Leading Field Officer role operates Monday to Friday, and travel is required across the North West Metro Area.
About you
You must have a full and current Victorian driver's licence. A qualification in workplace health and safety or training and assessment is desirable.
You should also have:
The confidence to coach, lead and motivate others while promoting safe and inclusive work practices.
A non-judgemental approach and passion for supporting others from all walks of life
Experience working on community projects and using a range of tools and equipment safely.
The ability to solve problems and think critically in practical situations.
Strong communication and teamwork skills with people from different backgrounds.
