Job Description
Lead by example and competently performs all duties of a Senior Catering Attendant and Catering Attendant.
Supervise, train, and induct staff within designated work areas in all internal and external policies and procedures.
Supervising staff in an area that involves the use of industrial wash machines.
Skilled use of large machinery.
Thoroughly understand and implement quality control techniques and ensure customer specifications are met.
Ensure that that area of responsibility is properly organised and productivity and performance criteria are met.
Identify opportunities to improve performance and productivity in your work areas.
Investigate discrepancies in stock take (inventory).
Ensure team members receive/adhere to breaks and rosters.
Demonstrate strong organisational and time management skills.
Implement directions given by the management.
Ensure that all documentation is completed as per specification and customer
Perform administrative and reporting duties as required.
Ensure adherence to Galley Loading Plan (GPL), Cart Packing Plan (CPP) and Equipment Loading Plan (ELP) as applicable to the role.
Adhere to Company’s policy in relation to HALAL, HACCP, QSAI / Food Safety, Workplace Health and Safety, Quarantine and Customs as applicable to the role.
What do you need to be successful in securing this role?
Availability for Afternoon shifts on a 7-day roster (5 on 2 off), full-time 38hr week.
Experience of working in a food or manufacturing environment.
Strong organisational and time management skills essential.
Previous experience supervising up to 20 staff
Access to own transport.
Strong numerical skills.
Sound knowledge of WHS & hygiene.
HACCP experience.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a busy open plan kitchen.
Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
