About the Role
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Leading Hand is responsible for coordinating daily warehouse activities and overseeing the workflow and performance of Fork Hoist Drivers to ensure service, safety, and productivity targets are achieved.
This is a hands-on leadership role that leads from the floor while supporting shift start-up, labour planning, and resource allocation. You will actively participate in core DC activities to support the manufacture and distribution of finished goods.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate daily workflow and task allocation for Fork Hoist Drivers
Support shift start-up activities, roster management, and break planning
Ensure safe, accurate, and timely completion of warehouse operations
Participate in receiving, picking, replenishment, staging, consolidation, and dispatch
Monitor productivity and escalate operational issues as required
Maintain accurate records using RF scanning and Warehouse Management Systems
Promote safe work practices and support continuous improvement initiatives
What do you need to be successful?
Current Reach Hoist licence (essential)
Minimum 1 year warehouse and driving experience
Previous experience supervising or coordinating team members
RF scanning experience
Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Good physical fitness
Intermediate computer skills
Exposure to Warehouse Management Systems (training provided)
