Job Description

We’re recruiting for a Learning and Development Business Partner to join the UK Learning and Development Centre of Excellence. You’ll be responsible for providing strategic learning and development consultancy to the Health, Retail, Commercial and Support Functions CEOs and ExCom teams in partnership with the HR Director. You’ll inform and enable business owned capability plans and ensure that they contribute to delivery of strategic business outcomes and achieve the anticipated uplift in performance, return on investment and expectation.
To be successful in this role, you’ll develop and maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders, specifically CEO, ExCom, and HR Directors to ensure that the learning and development proposition remains relevant, appropriate, future focused and is recognised as an enabler to business performance. You’ll leverage these relationships to influence well and gain buy in and sponsorship.
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. What you’ll be doing:
Guide and encourage the business to cultivate a culture of continuous learning whilst prioritising self-development and seeking out ways to remain current and credible.
Leverage knowledge and understanding of the business unit's strategic direction to shape the delivery of the AXA UK learning and development strategy with a future focused mindset.
Take a strategically driven, outcome focused and evidenced based approach to promoting our current learning and development offer.
Where gaps are identified, collaborate with the wider Learning and Development team to analyse and diagnose root cause, curating and creating scalable content with a digital first and holistic AXA UK and Ireland mindset.
Oversee the co-ordination of new work through definition, discovery, design, develop, deploy and iterate stages in collaboration with key stakeholders.
Provide visibility and report on the uplift in business performance, return on investment and expectation with key stakeholders.
Adopting and sharing best practice, bringing outside thinking in to innovate our offer and provide feedback and coaching to develop the team.
Contribute as a strategic thought leader within the Learning and Development leadership team.

What you’ll bring:
Hold or working towards CIPD Level 7 or equivalent.
Expertise in HR and Learning and Development operating models operating in a global, matrixed organisation.
Ability to rapidly understand, assimilate and analyse data and insights to identify root cause.
Strong relationship, stakeholder management, influencing and social engagement skills with the ability to build trusting and respectful partnerships at a senior level.
Action oriented and a delivery focused mindset, excellent project management skills with proven experience in planning, managing, and implementing multiple concurrent programmes of work.
Excellent commercial focus with an ability to drawn down on external trends, emerging technologies, and benchmarking to Innovate the learning and development offering.
Ability to develop a strong understanding of AXA UK, business and HR strategy with a passion for delivering high quality work and continuous improvement.
Ability to priorities workloads and deal with conflicting priorities.
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
