Position: LEARNING CENTER LEAD TEACHER w/ credentials and LEARNING CENTER ASSISTANT TEACHER.
Full Time
Monday – Friday, 8hr Shifts between the timeframes of 7am - 6pm. Set schedules and shifts will be discussed further during the interview process.
Learning Center Lead Teacher: Salary range $20.50 - $21.12 per hour. Age requirement must be a minimum of 21 years of age. Minimum education Requirements or combo of requirements; CDA (Child Development Associate Certificate) or AA in Early Childhood Education or must have 12 credits in Early Childhood - may be a combination of * credits in Early Childhood and 3 in either Child Psychology or Business or may be a combination of 6 credits in early in Early Childhood and the other 6 credits can include 3 in Child Psychology and 3 in Business.
Learning Center Assistant Teacher: Salary range $17.71 - $18.79 per hour. Age requirement must be a minimum of 18 years of age. HSD or GED equivalent.
Ideal candidates should be energetic, compassionate, understanding, patient, resourceful, witty and organized. Teacher Associate's will work with other classroom staff, Program Supervisor and Program Director.
Possess excellent communication skills. Ability to communicate daily with parents, children, program manager/ assistant manager and other staff.
Must be of good character and reputation, have an understanding of the development of children and the ability to care for children, and the skills to work with children, family members, department staff, community agencies, and staff of the child care facility.
Be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds. Maintain infant/child CPR and First Aid.
Freedom from criminal convictions that may adversely affect the employee’s ability to work safely with children, contingent on a fingerprint & background records check conducted by the State of Alaska Division of Health Care Services Background Check Unit.
Current first aid and CPR certificate or ability to become certified. Food Handlers Card or willing to obtain one while employed.
For employees ages 21+ Driving is required. Must have a Current Alaska driver’s license, personal vehicle insurance, and driving history that allows for insurability by FCSA auto insurance carrier.
