SYNOPSIS:
Through National Gallery learning programs, Learning Facilitators support diverse audiences to actively engage with works of art in the National Gallery collection and artistic program. The role is designed for people with a strong interest in art, culture, people and ideas, who have some skills and experience in facilitating learning experiences. Learning Facilitators work closely with Program Convenors across the Learning Team, delivering learning experiences for a wide range of audiences, including students and teachers, access audiences, children and families, young people and adults. Learning Facilitators undertake initial training in the National Gallery's approach to creative learning, which is applied to learning programs through team-teaching and coaching opportunities with National Gallery Artist Educators. After training, Learning Facilitators are supported to take on independent program delivery within a closely supervised and supported professional development framework.
