Leasing Legal Manager

Job Description

1. Lease Negotiations: Negotiating lease terms and conditions with prospective tenants or their legal representatives. This includes rent amounts, lease duration, renewal options, and other clauses.

2. Contract Drafting: Drafting lease agreements and other related contracts ensuring compliance with local laws, mall policies, and tenant requirements. This involves a keen understanding of legal terminology and implications.

3. Legal Compliance: Ensuring all leases and agreements comply with relevant local laws, zoning regulations, building codes, and other legal requirements.

4. Dispute Resolution: Handling disputes that may arise between the mall management and tenants, including issues related to lease violations, maintenance responsibilities, or tenant complaints.

5. Risk Management: Identifying potential legal risks and liabilities associated with leasing activities and implementing strategies to mitigate these risks.

6. Tenant Relations: Serving as a point of contact for legal matters between the mall management and tenants, addressing concerns or questions regarding lease agreements and legal obligations.

7. Due Diligence: Conducting due diligence on prospective tenants, including reviewing financial documents, credit checks, and background checks to assess their suitability as tenants.
