Lecturer – Carpentry & Joinery (Ore Valley)
Full Time & Part Time Available
Permanent Up to £3+,808 per annum. FTE
East Sussex College Group is a leading destination for vocational training in East Sussex, providing courses that develop the future workforce for the construction industry.
Our real-world workshops enable students to develop their skills, preparing them for work placements and providing an all-round training experience before they progress to working life.
You will use your site experience, craft skills, and practical knowledge to help students on our Ore Valley site reach their full potential in the carpentry and joinery trade.
Teaching on our Level 1, Level 2, and 3 City & Guilds Diplomas, you will provide students with the theoretical and practical skills necessary to create high-quality bench and site joinery.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver lessons to meet the requirements of the qualifications
Plan and deliver engaging and informative sessions
Assess student work and keep accurate records of progress
Motivate and inspire students to learn and demonstrate their practical skills
Provide real-world problems to challenge students' abilities
Degree Requirements: A degree in a relevant subject area or equivalent experience and qualifications are required for this role.
Desirable Qualifications: Experience/Assessing Qualification, in order to qualify for the Full Time Post.
