The Opportunity
The School of Science is seeking a forward‑thinking and innovative academic to contribute to impactful teaching, curriculum design and research in Food Science. You will play a key role in strengthening learning experiences across undergraduate and postgraduate programs, ensuring that teaching is informed by contemporary scholarship and emerging trends in the discipline.
As a Lecturer, you will apply your disciplinary expertise to coordinate and deliver high‑quality subjects, undertake assessment, provide timely feedback to students, and actively contribute to curriculum development. You will collaborate with academic colleagues across the School and Faculty to build inclusive, research‑informed learning environments.
Research is an important component of this position. You will engage in scholarly activity aligned to Food Science and related fields, contribute to high‑quality publications, supervise research students, and pursue internal and external research funding opportunities. The role is well-suited to an academic who thrives on collaboration, industry engagement, and advancing the University’s strategic priorities.

High‑quality delivery and coordination of Food Science subjects across undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

About You
A doctoral qualification in Food Science, Food Technology or a closely related discipline.
A demonstrated record of high‑quality teaching and learning in tertiary education.
Experience developing productive relationships with academic, industry and professional stakeholders.
A developing research profile, with publications and engagement in grant writing.
Experience supervising higher degree research or coursework students.
