About the role The Faculty of Law is currently recruiting for a Lecturer Level B to conduct high quality research and to teach in our undergraduate, postgraduate and professional programs. As a lecturer you will: • Teach in undergraduate and postgraduate programs as required, on weekdays, evenings, and in block format, including week-ends. • Teach in core law and elective subjects and, professional programs, as appropriate. • Supervise Honours and co-supervise Masters, and Doctoral level research students, where appropriate. • Contribute to subject development/review, including the design and delivery of innovative postgraduate and professional offerings. • Co-ordinate subjects as required. • Help foster collegiate and effective team-work in the delivery of teaching programs. • Undertake research and publish in high quality peer-reviewed journals and other appropriate outlets. • Develop capacity for research grant writing and, where appropriate, apply for competitive research grants. • Participate in faculty and university-wide researcher development programs. • Establish and maintain a research profile, including online visibility. • Participate in programs to communicate the Faculty’s research to a broader audience, engage with relevant stakeholders, and enhance the Faculty’s research profile, as appropriate About You We are looking for applicants with: • Doctorate in Law or related discipline, or a doctoral candidate who can demonstrate submission of doctoral thesis is strongly likely within 12 months of an offer of employment. • Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor • Extensive knowledge of the law discipline, especially in relation to the Faculty undergraduate and postgraduate programs.• Thorough command of the principles and practice of effective teaching and learning.• Recent successful teaching experience in a law school or equivalent. • Experience in research as demonstrated by publications and/or research grants, or evidence of capacity to develop a research track. • Capacity to undertake academic administrative experience. • Demonstrated record of experience of working collegially. • Knowledge of, and commitment to, equal opportunity principles and their implementation.• Awareness of key issues in contemporary higher education as relevant to the Faculty and the law discipline What will you teach? All teaching areas are needed and we have a particular interest in building our teaching teams in the following areas: • Real Property• Civil Practice • Corporate and Commercial law subjects • Indigenous Legal Relations. Remuneration

Base Salary Range: $125,240 - $148,229 per annum (Level B) This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary. This position is full-time and will be made on a continuing basis.
