We are searching for an ambitious Legal Professional (inc. newly qualified) to help shape a groundbreaking digital service designed to support the underserved transgender community. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our technology team, helping to develop and implement resources that provide reliable guidance and assistance for transgender people. If you are passionate about using your legal training to make a tangible impact on tens of thousands of lives, this could be the role for you. Key Responsibilities: Legal Oversight & Compliance:Work with the technology team to review and approve resources, ensuring all content is legally sound, reliable, and supportive for the transgender community. Resource Identification & Validation: Identify, assess, and curate resources and guidance tools for the platform, ensuring they are accurate, trustworthy, and in compliance with applicable laws. Collaboration with Tech Team: Collaborate closely with developers and tech leads to integrate legal frameworks and resources into the platform, helping to shape user experience and functionality from a legal perspective. Research & Advocacy: Conduct legal research on issues facing the transgender community, providing input on how our digital service can address these challenges. Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations affecting the transgender community, ensuring the platform evolves to meet their legal needs. Resource Development: Create a range of resources to support the community from letters to notices and procedural guidance leaflets About You: Qualifications: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in law
Experience: 1-3 years of legal experience as a minimum, ideally with a background in civil rights, healthcare law, or working with underserved communities. Experience in digital services or tech-driven legal projects is a plus but not essential. Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to reviewing, drafting, and approving resources and content. Passion & Empathy: A strong desire to advocate for the transgender community and improve access to legal resources and guidance. Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced tech environment, contributing to both the strategic vision and the day-to-day legal details of platform development. Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate legal concepts effectively to non-legal team members and stakeholders.
