Designation: Senior Manager, Legal and Compliance
Location: Mumbai [on-site]
Timings: 8:00pm - 5:00am IST
Job Responsibilities: As a Sr. Manager Legal and Compliance at Inhabitr, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing legal and compliance functions.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Legal Compliance:
1. Stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations affecting the company's operations.
2. Provide legal advice to various departments and ensure compliance with relevant laws.
Contract Management:
1. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements to protect the company's interests
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure contractual terms align with business objectives
3. Ensure that contractual arrangements comply with legal requirements and internal policies.
Risk Assessment:
1. Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate legal and compliance risks
2. Implement risk management processes to minimize potential legal issues
Policy Development:
1. Develop and update company policies to ensure compliance with legal requirements
2. Communicate and train employees on relevant policies and procedures
Regulatory Reporting:
1. Manage regulatory reporting requirements and submissions
2. Interface with regulatory authorities to address inquiries and inspections
Compliance Management:
1. Develop, implement, and monitor an effective compliance program to ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies
2. Regularly assess and update compliance policies and procedures to reflect changes in the regulatory environment
Corporate Governance:
1. Act as the Company Secretary, overseeing corporate governance matters and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements
2. Prepare and maintain corporate records, including board meeting minutes and resolutions
Qualifications & Skills:
1. Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree & Company Secretary (CS) Degree is mandatory.
2. 6 to 8 years of experience in legal and compliance roles.
3. Proven experience as a Legal and Compliance Manager or in a similar role.
4. In-depth knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements relevant to the industry.
5. In-depth knowledge of drafting of various contracts & agreements relevant to the industry.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
