About the Role and Team
Anthony Collins Solicitors are recruiting a Legal Assistant to join their Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence team.
The team represents claimants in personal injury, clinical negligence, abuse, and claims against public authorities. We act for injured children and adults, as well as bereaved families where a person dies due to negligence. Our work includes Inquests and civil claims.
We are a leading law firm, ranked highly in personal injury and clinical negligence work by Legal 500 and Chambers. We work with charities, serving as trusted legal partners. As a thriving team, we're recruiting legal assistants to continue growing.
Key Duties:
Assist in investigating and progressing clients' claims for compensation arising from various liability scenarios across our work spectrum, including claims against public authorities, clinical negligence, and personal injury.
Attend meetings with clients, conferences, and court hearings, taking comprehensive notes.
Undertake routine drafting.
Perform analysis of documentary evidence.
Assist with and undertake legal research.
Handle routine correspondence and telephone calls.
Maintain the highest standards of honesty and integrity in dealings with clients, colleagues, and others.
Accurately record time spent according to the firm's time recording system.
Carry out administrative duties on files supervised by fee earners.
Maintain and collate relevant resources and publications.
Produce newsletters, marketing materials, and documents for clients upon request.
Develop knowledge through attendance at in-house training sessions to support personal and career development.
Assist in preparing for business development events.
About the Candidate
You will need to be hardworking, organized, a good communicator, have excellent attention to detail, and be committed to providing high-quality service to our clients while being a strong team player.
You will require experience in personal injury and/or clinical negligence claims. Experience in claims against public authorities is desirable but not necessary.
