About the Role:

This fixed-term position is available for an initial 10-month period, with clear pathways for permanent employment within the company for the right candidate.
As a member of the firm's commercial team, you will work closely with the banking and finance partner to facilitate complex transactions and provide support to senior generalist authors across various areas, including contract law, commercial conveyancing, leasing, corporate advisory work, M&A matters, contracts administration, capital raising, new business, joint ventures, franchising, construction, and insolvency.
Due to the advanced nature of this work, this role is suitable for senior commercial secretaries and legal executives alike, with opportunities for fee-earning work alongside administrative duties for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct assistance to partners and senior leaders within the commercial team, including diary and inbox management.
Assist authors with relationship management, document preparation, and communication.
Liaise with banking institutions, government agencies, and other third parties.
Manage complex files, incorporating documentation preparation and collation using administrative software.
Administer the monthly billing process, processing invoices and overseeing trust account transactions.
Assist with loan agreements, security documentation, and regulatory compliance in line with national and international markets.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you should have 5+ years of experience working in a fast-paced commercial team, with a focus on advanced finance or corporate work.
