Summary Of Full-Time Position
Provide legal assistant support to three attorneys whose practice areas include estate planning, probates, and trusts. The position requires that the legal assistant work with minimal supervision and according to established firm policies and procedures to perform a variety of legal assistant and clerical duties for assigned attorneys. This is an in-person position in Tacoma, WA.
Preferred Experience And Qualifications
• One year law firm experience as an estate planning legal assistant.
• Ability to utilize forms to draft estate planning documents, pleadings, deeds, correspondence, and other items as requested.
• Proofread for content and accuracy.
• Schedule meetings; time entry; process incoming mail and deliveries; scan and photocopy projects; maintain client files; filing.
• Maintain attorney calendars and deadline reminder systems.
• As requested by attorneys, meet with clients to receive and/or assist with the signing of documents; maintain appropriate appearance and demeanor; maintain positive relationships with clients, attorneys, and staff; observe confidentiality of attorney-client relationship and all matters relating to the firm and its attorneys and staff; never offer legal advice.
