About the Role:

The Legal Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting attorneys and legal teams by managing a variety of administrative, clerical, and project tasks that ensure the smooth operation of legal processes. This position involves preparing and organizing legal documents, conducting research, and maintaining case files with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality. The Legal Assistant acts as a liaison between clients and other legal professionals, facilitating effective communication and timely responses. By managing schedules and coordinating meetings, the Legal Assistant helps to optimize the efficiency and productivity of the legal team. Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to the successful delivery of legal services and client satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or higher in paralegal studies or related field preferred.
At least 1-2 years of experience working in an administrative setting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal case management software.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

Paralegal certification or completion of a paralegal training program.
Experience with legal research databases such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative legal team.
Responsibilities:

Maintain and organize physical and electronic case files.
Communicate with clients and other parties to relay information and obtain necessary documentation.
Assist in mailing correspondence.
Assist as needed with additional projects.
