Job Description
What You’ll Be Doing:
Reviewing and prioritizing correspondence and emails; drafting responses or redirecting as appropriate
Coordinating travel arrangements, including preparing travel itineraries and meeting documentation
Drafting and organizing materials for speaking engagements
Maintaining paper and electronic filing systems
Managing a high volume of expenses and reconciling expense reports
Opening and closing client files in accordance with firm policies
Handling docketing and billing processes
Managing complex calendars, triaging requests, and ensuring lawyers are fully briefed ahead of meetings
Coordinating meetings and events, including logistics and document preparation
Liaising with internal departments such as Finance and Marketing
Interacting with clients regarding invoices, collections, and preparation of WIP/AR reports
What You Bring to the Table:
Legal Assistant Diploma or equivalent education
Corporate, Securities, Competition or Financial Services experience is an asset
Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines in a high-performance environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Outstanding organizational and time management skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Advanced searching and document management abilities
Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable with a strong sense of initiative
Willingness to work flexible hours as needed
