Job Summary
The Legal Associate will work under the supervision of the Legal and Compliance Manager and play a crucial role in contract drafting and review, as well as supporting various legal operations. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the legal team and other departments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Contract Drafting and Review:Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts including NDAs, service agreements, and partnership agreements.
• Ensure contracts are in compliance with legal standards and company policies.
• Assist in managing the contract lifecycle, including renewals, amendments, and terminations.
• Legal Operations Support:Provide support in compliance and regulatory affairs, ensuring the company's adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
• Assist in preparing compliance reports and conducting internal audits.
• Support in conducting legal research and advising on risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
• Document Management:Maintain organized records of legal documents and correspondence.
• Assist in preparing and organizing documentation for audits, due diligence, and external consultations.
• Team Collaboration:Collaborate with various departments to understand business requirements and provide legal support.
• Coordinate with external law firms for specialized legal matters as directed by the Legal and Compliance Manager.
• Continuous Learning:Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to the company’s operations.
• Participate in training programs to enhance legal knowledge and compliance skills.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent; a Master's degree or additional legal certifications is an advantage.
• 1-2 years of experience in contract drafting, review, and legal operations.
• Strong understanding of contract law, corporate law, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
