Key Responsibilities:
• Legal Advisory:
• Provide proactive legal advice and support to various business units on a wide range of legal issues, including corporate, commercial, regulatory, employment, and intellectual property matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts and agreements to ensure the company's interests are protected.
• Risk Management and Compliance:
• Identify and mitigate potential legal risks associated with business activities.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to minimize legal risk and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Strategic Partnering:
• Collaborate with business leaders to align legal strategy with business goals.
• Participate in strategic planning sessions and provide legal insights to support decision-making processes.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on legal and business matters.
• Dispute Resolution:
• Manage and resolve legal disputes, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation.
• Work with external legal counsel as necessary to handle complex legal issues.
• Training and Development:
• Conduct training sessions for employees on legal and compliance topics.
• Keep the organization informed about relevant legal developments and their potential impact on the business.
• Documentation and Record Keeping:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date legal records and documentation.
• Ensure proper documentation of all legal agreements and correspondence.
Qualifications:
• Degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a legal role, with a focus on corporate or commercial law.
• Strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations.
• Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• High level of integrity and professional ethics.
