Job Description
Provide legal support to Chevron's business operations, including but not limited to contract negotiations, compliance with laws and regulations, and risk assessment.
Conduct legal research and analysis to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate legal risks.
Review and draft various legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and policies.
Advise on legal issues related to energy industry trends and developments.
Monitor and stay informed of changes in laws and regulations that may impact Chevron's operations.
Participate in negotiations and settlements with external parties.
Represent Chevron in legal proceedings, including court appearances and arbitrations.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external legal counsel.
Train and educate employees on legal matters and compliance requirements.
Ensure all legal processes and procedures are followed in a timely and efficient manner.
Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all legal matters.
Assist with any other legal tasks and projects as assigned by the Legal Director.
