Legal Counsel
Role Summary
This is a key role in managing legal risks and compliance for the T2 D alliance, a consortium of companies delivering the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor in Adelaide.
About the Role
The successful candidate will provide quality legal advice and support to the alliance across a range of areas, with a focus on construction law.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements with contractors, suppliers, and government bodies.
Assist with dispute-resolution processes including negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and litigation.
Maintain knowledge of relevant laws and regulations affecting the infrastructure industry.
Support the implementation of alliance policies and procedures to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
Collaborate with external legal counsel on complex matters.
About You
We are looking for someone with post-graduate qualifications in law, business, or commerce, admission as a solicitor or barrister in Australia, and experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction or infrastructure industries.
You should have a strong understanding of Australian construction law and commercial law, proficiency in contract law, and experience in negotiating and drafting complex contracts.
