The position is responsible to provide assistance on following matters of Legal Function to uphold the interests of the Organization.
Key Deliverables:
Contract Management: Maintain Standardized Contracts; Drafting and vetting of MSA, Supply /Co-Packer Agreement; Sales and Distribution Contracts; General Trade and Modern Trade Contracts; E-commerce; Consultants Contracts; Letter or Authority or Power of Attorney; Copyright & TM License and Assignment; and other relevant Legal Documents for India and Group Companies; comply with the standard drafts, communicate and negotiate contracts with the external vendors to protect the interest of the company; ensure integrity of contract is maintained; ensure contracts are stamped and signed by authorised signatory; send renewal reminders and ensure contracts are renewed before the expiry. Maintain Custody of original Contracts and update contracts details in Contract tracker and Contract Repository System software on real time basis
Intellectual Property Rights: Conduct IP Assessment; Secure, protect and enforce the Intellectual Property Rights of the company; file applications for trademarks / copyright in India and Abroad; prepare and file recordal of assignment deed; issue License for Trademarks; file oppositions/rectifications against similar and identical marks; attending hearings and leading evidence for use of mark; issue cease and desist notices; initiate action for infringement and passing off of Trade Marks & Copyrights; evaluating IP for securing & utilizing the same commercially.
Education:
BA/BCOM/ BSC LLB or LLM from a reputed Institute / University
Experience:
7-8 years of relevant Corporate Legal experience, FMCG or Pharma Sector is preferred
