THE OPPORTUNITY
Location: Sunshine Coast, Queensland
Due to an INTERNAL PROMOTION, we now have an opportunity for a new Legal Counsel.
KGF Legal’s vision is all about creating legal and governance service and solutions KGF loves to use. This will be achieved through providing timely, strategic, practical, and easy-to-use legal and governance service and solutions wherever KGF needs it.
Your primary role will be supporting the General Counsel and Company Secretary to provide commercially relevant advice and services to the business on a broad range of issues across the entire KGF business, with a particular focus on contractual and compliance related matters. This role reports to the General Counsel and Company Secretary and works autonomously under their guidance.
ABOUT YOU
You will have broad experience delivering legal services within a commercial legal practice or in an in-house capacity. Delivering best practice in-house legal services, with a hands-on and commercial focus, you will have a can-do and client centric attitude and possess the ability to own key projects.
You will also demonstrate the following success factors:
Bachelor of Laws (essential) or dual degree in Law and other relevant discipline
3-5 years plus post admission experience, gained at a reputable commercial firm and/or in-house
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent contract drafting, negotiation, execution, and legal advisory skills
Excellent matter/project/contract management, organisation and time management skills
Ability to influence a broad range of stakeholders
Results oriented and ability to work autonomously
Agriculture or FMCG experience preferred, not essential
