Legal Counsel (including Line Management) – Home Counties – Permanent - Up to £112k Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently working with a reputable Public Sector Organisation in the Home Counties area who are recruiting for a Legal Counsel who is able to manage a team of up to ten fee earners. This assignment is offered on a full-time basis however candidates possessing relevant experience who can only offer part-time hours will also be considered. This role includes excellent benefits such as a generous annual leave package, managing your own diary and a hybrid working model. This opportunity is suitable for an experienced Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with ample experience managing a team. Daily Duties May Include: Providing expert legal advice across the Organisation, supporting a wide range of legal matters, including research funding, grants, procurement, and employment law. Establishing and leading a newly formed legal department, managing a team of up to 10. You will have the autonomy to shape the structure of the team to best meet the department's needs. Overseeing contracts related to funding bodies, property leasing, procurement, and employment tribunals. Provide strategic advice on the legal ramifications of decisions in these areas. Given the Organisation's operations across the four nations of the UK, ensure compliance with the specific legislation of each country, adapting strategies accordingly. Enhance the legal team's visibility within the Organisation and contribute to reputational management efforts across various legal issues. Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite for handling legal documentation and team management tools.
