Legal Document Assistant
Job Description
• Typing and Formatting:
Accurately type and format a variety of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and notices.
Ensure that all documents adhere to the firm's standards and legal requirements.
Prepare replies, interim applications (IAs), and other legal documents as needed.
• Document Management:
Organize and maintain both digital and physical office files, ensuring easy access and retrieval.
Keep track of document versions and updates to maintain the integrity of legal records.
• Drafting Support:
Assist the legal team in preparing drafts and basic documents under supervision.
Review and proofread documents for spelling, grammar, and formatting errors.
• Office Support:
Assist in day-to-day office operations, including handling phone calls, scheduling appointments, and managing office supplies.
Provide general administrative support as required by the legal team.
• Learning and Development:
Be open to learning and using AI tools to improve document preparation and efficiency.
Stay updated with basic technological advancements that can aid in document management.
Requirements
Minimum qualification of 12th pass or equivalent.
Strong proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
Prior experience in a typing or clerical role is preferred but not mandatory.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing software.
