Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

- Drafting Legal Documents: Prepare, review, and finalize various legal documents, including contracts, agreements, memoranda, and legal correspondence, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with legal requirements and organizational policies.
- Legal Advisory: Provide legal guidance and advice to internal stakeholders, including management, departments, and teams, on a wide range of legal issues, including contractual matters, regulatory compliance, intellectual property rights, employment law, and commercial transactions.
- Contract Management: Manage the entire lifecycle of contracts, from drafting and negotiation to execution and renewal. Ensure contracts reflect the organization's interests, mitigate risks, and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- Legal Research: Conduct legal research to analyze statutes, regulations, case law, and legal precedents relevant to specific matters or projects. Provide summaries, recommendations, and legal opinions based on research findings.
- Risk Assessment: Identify legal risks and vulnerabilities in business activities, contracts, and operations. Develop strategies and recommendations to mitigate risks and enhance legal compliance.
- Due Diligence: Assist in due diligence processes related to mergers and acquisitions, investments, joint ventures, and other transactions. Review legal documents, identify potential issues, and provide recommendations to facilitate decision-making.
- Compliance Monitoring: Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards affecting the organization's operations. Develop compliance policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure adherence to legal requirements.
- Dispute Resolution Support: Assist in managing legal disputes, including litigation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms. Coordinate with external counsel, gather evidence, and provide support in legal proceedings.
- Client Communication: Liaise with internal clients, external parties, and legal counsel to gather information, provide updates, and facilitate legal processes. Communicate legal advice and recommendations in a clear and understandable manner.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized legal files, databases, and documentation systems. Ensure proper record-keeping and documentation of legal matters, correspondence, and agreements.

Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field. Membership in a professional legal association or bar admission is preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience working in a legal role, with a focus on drafting legal documents and providing legal advice. Experience in a corporate legal department or law firm is advantageous.
- Legal Knowledge: Strong understanding of contract law, corporate law, commercial transactions, and relevant regulatory frameworks. Familiarity with legal drafting techniques and contract negotiation strategies.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess legal issues, conduct research, and formulate effective solutions.
- Communication Skills: Superior written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including non-legal professionals.
- Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail to draft accurate and error-free legal documents, review contracts, and analyze legal provisions.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Integrity and Ethics: High ethical standards and integrity to maintain confidentiality, uphold professional ethics, and comply with legal requirements.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, legal colleagues, external counsel, and business partners to achieve common goals and objectives.
- Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in legal research tools, document management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to adapt to new technology platforms and software tools used in legal practice.
