Title: Legal (Lending) - AVP About Us: Paytm is India’s leading digital payments and financial services company, which is focused on driving consumers and merchants to its platform by offering them a variety of payment use cases. Operating on this platform leverage, the company then offers credit services such as merchant loans, personal loans and BNPL, sourced by its financial partners. About the team: Lending Legal Team. About the role: To lead and be a part of the lending legal team in order to ensure effective management of legal and contractual matters, in addition to identification and mitigation of legal risks for the organization. The incumbent will oversee contracts and legal issues pertaining to lending vertical within One+7 Communications Ltd. Expectations/ Requirements: • Drafting, reviewing, red-lining, negotiating, and finalizing documents (Contracts, partnerships, service agreements, letters, proposals etc.) from a legal perspective, ensuring minimal/no risk to the organization • Resolve any issues pertaining to lending contracts, which arises while working with clients, partners, service providers, vendors etc. • Liaising with various internal stakeholders (Business, Finance, Taxation teams) to ensure timely closure of agreements and advising them on contractual mandates and compliances • Ability to understand and analyze business requirements/needs, spot issues and propose/implement solutions • Create, streamline and ensure adherence with internal frameworks, mandates and processes for the lending related contracts. • End to end management of assigned legal work in association with lending legal team. • Team management skills. • 15 plus years of experience in end to end contract management and advisory work in the lending industry, with a law firm or as an in-house counsel • LL.B.
