Role: Legal Manager (Litigation) Qualification: BA LLB/LLM Experience: 10-15 years Salary: Reports to: Job overview: Litigation Manager is responsible for managing all suits, disputes, police matters, recovery proceedings, and cheque bouncing cases. Their duties include briefing counsels, following up on cases, and providing guidance to company representatives for court appearances. Additionally, they conduct research on legal issues related to ongoing cases. Job Description: Drafting of Writ Petition, Legal Notices, SLP, Suits, etc. ( ability to read Kannada is mandatory) Managing all suits, disputes, police matters, recovery proceedings, cheque bouncing cases etc. Briefing the counsels, follow ups and extending guidance to the company representatives on appearance in various courts. Review of the progress of litigations with business, operations team with specific advice, Guidance on action plan, and course of action for the speedy disposal. To strategize, plan, initiate and defend the legal action before the judicial, quasi-judicial Authorities, tribunals, labor courts, consumer forums and administrative bodies etc. Offering such other legal support as may be required by the Management / organization. Obtain state bar admission from nearby states Drafting pleadings and other legal documents, such as motions and discovery requests Preparing witnesses for court appearances by coaching them on what to say and how to behave during testimony Conducting research on legal issues associated with cases Interviewing witnesses, gathering evidence, and interviewing experts to support the case Drafting legal briefs and motions to be submitted to the court Presenting cases in court by arguing facts and citing laws Gathering evidence to be used in trial Conducting depositions Must have the skills to convince a judge, jury, the other counsel Knowledge of substantive and procedural law Strong written and oral advocacy skills, Analytical and logical reasoning abilities Ability to synthesize complex legal and factual materials Knowledge of legal research techniques and software Key Skills Required: Real Estate experience & Kannada are mandatory. Substantive Knowledge on Law and Legal Procedures Knowledgeable about constitutional and civil law Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
