Function/ Department: Marketing
Job Purpose:
A marketing media lawyer, especially one worked with advertising agency or law firm or as an inhouse lawyer, typically has a diverse and dynamic role.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Ensure that all marketing and advertising content complies with ASCI guidelines and other relevant laws.
• Review and approve advertisements, promotional materials, and media content for legal compliance e.g., pitchbooks, pamphlets, scripts/films/videos for tv and social media platforms, script /films of cricket /social media influencers/Actros, videos created for digital avatar of celebrities, any kind of promotional material, promotional videos, testimonies, digital creatives, films, etc.
• Provide legal advice on marketing /advertising material, marketing strategies, campaigns, and media plans.
• Counsel and Liaise on intellectual property issues, including copyright and trademark matters.
• Knowledge and skill of handling diverse corporate legal issues/matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to advertising, sponsorships, and media partnerships, copyright assignment contracts /NOCs with production houses/actors.
• Handle agreements with potential talent, influencers, and third-party vendors.
• Address and resolve disputes related to advertising claims, defamation, and consumer complaints.
• Represent Bank in legal proceedings and before regulatory bodies.
• Assist in the development and implementation of advertising policies and best practices.
• Stay updated on changes in advertising laws and regulations.
• Strong understanding of advertising laws, intellectual property rights, and consumer protection regulations.
• Knowledge of digital media laws and emerging trends in advertising.
• Ready to take up new assignments and responsibilities. Should be a self-learner. Legal Research and Knowledge sharing.
• Ability to analyse complex legal issues and provide clear, actionable advice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with agencies, regulators, and stakeholders.
Education Qualification:
Graduation: Bachelor of Commerce (B.com) / Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) / Bachelor of Arts (BA) / Bachelor of Business & Insurance (BBI) / Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS)
Post-graduation: Master of Business Administration (MBA) / Master of Commerce (M.com) / Master of Arts (MA) / LLB
Experience: 5 to 10 of relevant years of experience.
