Job Description
The role offers exposure to key functions in the power and infrastructure sector, including contract management, procurement, project management, and understanding legal documents such as LC/BGs, warranties, and indemnity issues.
Key responsibilities include finalizing, reviewing, and negotiating General Conditions of Contract (GCC) for various agreements, non-disclosure agreements, memorandums of understanding, letters of intent, letters of agreement, lender agreements, and other commercial contracts.
Manage pre-award and post-contract legal negotiations, compliance, contractual risk assessments, contract administration, correspondence, claim settlement, and handling contractual issues such as extensions of time, liquidated damages, termination, changes, variations, claims, and contract closure.
Review and evaluate company procedures and reports to identify hidden risks or common issues. Prepare and advise on pre-litigation and litigation strategies.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for preparation of contract documents, subcontracting agreements, joint venture, framework, or consortium agreements.
Qualifications and Skills
Degree in Law from a reputable institution and at least 10 years of experience.
A comprehensive understanding of the Infrastructure/Renewable Energy industry would be an added advantage.
Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Team management experience.
