Job Summary
Loewen Mechanical is looking for a motivated Level 2 or 3 Plumbing Apprentice to join our team. In this role, you’ll work under the guidance of experienced Journeyman plumbers, gaining hands-on experience and developing essential skills in plumbing systems and installations.
We specialize in commercial construction projects, including both new builds and renovations.
Details:
Position: Level 2 or 3 Plumbing Apprentice
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Requirements
Minimum 1 year experience in plumbing trade
Current Registered Plumbing Apprentice
Valid Class 5 Drivers License
Reliable transportation to various job sites throughout the Winnipeg area
Strong understanding of commercial plumbing systems and installation practices
Key Qualifications & Assets
Proven ability to work independently and efficiently with limited supervision
Experience working with hydronic heating systems, including boilers
Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
High level of mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Strong commitment to job site safety and quality workmanship
Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair commercial plumbing systems with minimal supervision
Rough-in and finish plumbing installations according to code and specifications
Assist with and perform boiler and hydronic heating system installations and servicing
Interpret drawings and layouts to plan and execute work efficiently
Ensure all work complies with applicable plumbing codes and safety regulations
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Represent the company professionally on job sites
