Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES :
1.In coordination with other crew members the LHD Operator follows job procedures and regulations to perform one of the tasks required in the Mine Project process.
2.Work in compliance with all Health & Safety rules and regulations.
3.Be aware and report any health and safety hazards or infractions to your supervisor.
4.Oversee material handling and secure loads, including equipment preparation, application of safe practices, compliance with applicable Acts and Regulations.
5.Perform trip inspections on equipment operated and load, ensuring safety and roadworthiness.
6.Manoeuvre trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew as needed; check that vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment is properly positioned.
7.Check vehicles before driving them to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
8.Report all vehicle defects, accidents and damage to your supervisor.
+.Record and maintain required documentation.
10.Ensure that any debris caused by the loading/unloading of truck is cleaned up.
11.Other related duties as required.
