The ideal candidate will handle complex liability cases, provide exceptional legal representation, and contribute to a collaborative work environment. This role offers competitive pay, bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package.Duties and Responsibilities:Represent clients in liability insurance defense cases, including general liability, professional liability, and product liability matters.Manage a caseload of liability defense cases from inception through resolution.Conduct thorough legal research and prepare detailed legal memoranda and documents.Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.Develop and execute case strategies, including conducting depositions and preparing for trial.Negotiate settlements and represent clients in mediation and settlement conferences.Attend court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings as required.Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court officials.Stay current on changes in liability law and insurance regulations.Provide mentorship and guidance to junior attorneys and support staff as needed.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the State Bar in Florida and in good standing.3-7 years of liability insurance defense experience.Proven track record in managing and resolving complex liability cases.Strong analytical skills and the ability to develop effective case strategies.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Licensed attorney in good standing with the State Bar of Florida.Skills:Extensive experience in liability insurance defense.Proficiency in drafting legal documents and conducting legal research.Strong negotiation and settlement skills.Excellent courtroom presentation and advocacy skills.Ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively.Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to stay current on legal trends and changes in insurance law.Job Location:Tallahassee, FLBenefits:Competitive salary and bonuses.Comprehensive medical insurance.Life insurance.401(k) plan with employer contribution.Paid Time Off (PTO).
