Job Description
The Librarian is responsible for the daily operation of the Library. The role will require the careful deployment of resources and the cultivation of a friendly, supportive atmosphere to ensure that students have a calm and productive space in which to study and read. The role will also offer the opportunity to have a direct impact on student learning through supporting teachers within lessons through our KS3 reading lessons and Sparx Reader programme and also through developing and celebrating extra-curricular activities and events that promote a lifelong love of reading.
The successful candidate should have good interpersonal skills, be a strong communicator, be innovative and be able to work as part of a successful team.
Non-teaching staff are required to take their own holidays during the school holiday periods.
The salary range for this post at Grade WA4-10-16 £24,905 - £28,548 (Full Time Equivalent) depending on qualifications and experience. We offer full training and defined career/pay progression. In addition, we offer an excellent benefit package to include a comprehensive health and wellness scheme, combined physiotherapy services, optical vouchers, cycle to work, a range of additional lifestyle discounts and a Local Government Pension Scheme.
