He angitūtanga: The opportunity
This is a fixed-term role until May 2027, based primarily at Tupu Youth Library, working as part of a supportive and community-focused team within Libraries & Council Services.
You’ll play an important role in supporting and delivering library programmes and events, particularly those focused on tamariki and rangatahi, while also providing friendly, customer-focused library and council services. You’ll help ensure our library spaces are welcoming, inclusive and responsive, and work flexibly across locations within the Ōtara–Papatoetoe Local Board area.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young people, supporting community programmes, and contributing as a reliable and supportive team member.

Experience engaging with children and/or young people, or supporting programmes and activities

Confidence engaging with diverse communities and cultures
Willingness to learn and grow your understanding of te reo Māori, tikanga and Te Tiriti o Waitangi
