Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team to work Monday to Friday only NO WEEKENDS. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and have experience in automotive repair. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can diagnose and repair vehicles efficiently. The Automotive Technician will work with various tools and equipment, ensuring that all repairs meet industry standards.
Duties
Perform diagnostic tests to identify vehicle issues using schematics and technical manuals.
Conduct repairs on various automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete repairs and maintenance tasks.
Weld components as necessary for repairs or modifications.
Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle.
Assist in heavy lifting of automotive parts and equipment as required during the repair process.
Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow and efficient service delivery.
Qualifications
Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or Mechanic.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex automotive issues.
Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
Familiarity with automotive schematics and diagnostic equipment is preferred.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in a physically demanding environment.
A valid Ontario driver's license is required; additional certifications are a plus.
Valid social insurance is required.
Ability to speak fluent English is required.
