When you join D4C, you'll be joining a team of 700+ employees, all helping to provide services that are vital to Sydney Water's customers' quality of life, and to safeguard Sydney's future by maintaining a sustainable water supply and protecting our iconic waterways.
Primary Purpose:
We currently have an opportunity for a Licensed Plumber worker to join our Construction Team working across Sydney. There may be a requirement to also act as nominated Qualified Supervisor on parent company Plumbing Contractors Licence, this will be discussed with you at the interview.
Activities may include a combination of the following:
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks on assets forming part of plumbing systems in:
Illegal stormwater connections
Commercial buildings
Wastewater treatment plants
Water and wastewater networks
Pipe work, valves, fittings, drainage systems, stormwater, potable water, irrigation, chemical systems, HWS, boilers, HVAC and sanitation
General grounds
Testing, repairs and certification of statutory/critical assets including but not limited to:
Reduced pressure zone valves
Non return valves
Pressure relief valves
Emergency Showers
Scope equipment required for plumbing works and support supervisor with preparation of quotes & estimates
Perform new installation of plumbing systems or the replacement of failed assets
Commissioning & de-commissioning of plumbing installations.
Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies.
Carry out other technical tasks as delegated by the assigned Supervisor.
Participate in after-hours support of maintenance activities, as required
Manage all works in line with the work management process and work order management system.
To be successful in this position, you must have:
Current Drivers Licence
Plumbing Trade Certificate
Plumbing Qualified Supervisor Certificate
