Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Liberty Health. As a valued member of our staff, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our organization.
Responsibilities:
Assist in directing nursing services for your designated unit or hall, in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
Delegate duties to professional nurses and non-professional nursing personnel and monitor their work performance, again under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
Observe patients for symptoms and reactions, including general physical and mental condition, for signs that may indicate an adverse change
Notify attending physicians of emergencies and deaths of patients in the unit and implement changes in orders as instructed or ordered by physicians
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
High school graduate required
Licensed Practical Nurse with a valid state license and proof of license renewal every two years
Willingness to work as a charge nurse and during emergencies to ensure adequate coverage
Ability to direct unit staff, ensuring work assignments are completed appropriately and timely
Dependability, flexibility, and ability to work well with all nursing personnel, other departments, and have understanding, patience, and tact when working with patients, families, doctors, and others
Ability to make decisions regarding nursing and unit problems, realizing errors and incompetence can have serious consequences for patients and/or staff
Ability to work well under pressure, problem solve, and perform various jobs
Familiarity with local, state, and federal requirements and knowledge of personnel, department, and facility policies and procedures
Professionalism at all times, neat appearance, and good personal hygiene
